He is a Certified Civil Trial Specialist by the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization. He is the senior author of the Tennessee Alternative Dispute Resolution Handbook (The Harrison Co. 1997) and the Editor of the Tennessee Mediation Pocket Guide (TennADR 2000).Joe combines his active trial practice with Alternative Dispute Resolution activities wherein he serves as a Mediator or Arbitrator. He participates as a mediator in the ADR Programs of the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Tennessee and is a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 listed neutral.
